The challenge
Traditional healthcare and wellness ecosystems often operate through disconnected systems where consultations, diet planning, risk assessments, bookings, and follow-ups are handled separately—resulting in fragmented patient journeys and repeated data collection. Existing wellness platforms typically focus either on manual diet planning or fully automated AI-generated plans without bridging personalized human guidance and scalable automation. Hybrid mobile healthcare apps also struggle to deliver rich, subscription-driven, payment-enabled experiences inside iOS and Android WebViews while maintaining native-like performance, offline resilience, region-aware services, and compatibility across multiple app versions.
How we worked
Our approach
We delivered a mobile-first Progressive Web App that unifies telemedicine consultations, AI-driven diet planning, sheet-based wellness plans, diabetes risk assessment, booking management, and subscription workflows into a single patient journey. The PWA integrates seamlessly with native Android and iOS shells through a robust JavaScript bridge layer for payments, subscription management, prescription previews, Firebase events, and native lifecycle callbacks—with graceful browser-safe fallbacks outside native apps.

The solution
Built on React 17 + React Router v6 with Bootstrap 5 / Reactstrap, Context API + useReducer power complex multi-step diet assessment flows (plan type, cuisines, allergies, conditions, medications, goals, addresses) with centralized state and LocalStorage persistence across reloads. A shared Axios client with request/response interceptors performs Bearer-token injection, India / UAE base-URL switching, standardized 4xx/5xx error handling, and global loading management. The diet & subscription engine handles AI Diet Plans, Sheet Plans, and Silver / Gold / Elite tiers with monthly / yearly cycles, coupon activation, upgrades, and UPI payment polling with timeout fallbacks. The diabetes risk engine combines BMI, age, gender, hypertension, family history, gestational diabetes, and physical activity into repeatable scores with detailed result breakdowns. Typed iOS (webkit.messageHandlers) and Android (window.app) bridge helpers expose payments, subscriptions, prescription previews, Firebase events, chat visibility, and goal callbacks. Runtime feature gating supports legacy and latest app versions across OS-specific defaults. CI/CD runs on AWS CodeBuild with production-ready PWA assets.
